About this site

You should have a personal website not because you need to grow an audience, and turn your hobbyist writing into a profession.
You should have a personal website not because you’re an expert on some subject, and it would be cruel to deny the world your wisdom.
You should have a personal website not because you think you’re important.
You should have a personal website not because the world is in need of your highlight reel.
You should have a personal website because I think the online world is as real as the offline world. You have a presence in one, and you should have a presence in the other.

I don’t normally translate texts, which are written either in French or in English.

I have created my first sites under compuserve and geocities in the mid 90. I then used site generators in the early 2000. This site originated in the mid 2000s. I switched from Joomla to WordPress at the end of 2022.

My favourite means of communication are described in Hello.

I have not yet taken the time to adapt the theme to limit the number of  my own photos and descriptions on each page, as well as to have the about page as home page. This annoys me much but it is  currently necessary in order to use Webmentions.
