Exciting News from the Association of Swiss Military Doctors -ASMD! 🚨
Last Friday, we had the privilege of hosting our first War Surgery Congress in Moudon and we’re truly grateful for the fantastic participation and engagement! 🎉
The event covered important and highly relevant topics at the intersection of war and medicine, including lectures on Switzerland’s geopolitical landscape, war neurosurgery, burn injuries and more. In the afternoon, participants took part in the following hands-on workshops led by experts:
🧠 Neurosurgery Workshop with Prof. Dr. Ralf A. Kockro, M.D., where participants practiced craniectomy techniques.🦴Orthopedic/Trauma Workshop led by Dr. Jaad Mahlouly, featuring external fixation and lower limb amputation on animal tissue.🔥 Plastic Surgery Workshop led by Prof. Dr. Wassim Raffoul, covering the treatment of burn and contaminated wounds.
