With the support of dedicated GCSP colleagues, I delivered the « Welcome to Switzerland » module to the new LISC participants. After an introduction, the four groups made a circuits through four « Swiss cities » with a quiz, an history puzzle, a video on Swiss institutions, as well as a description of their perception if their new host country. I then focussed on a couple of Swiss specificities.

Merci à la Société des officiers et militaires du campus universitaire de Lausanne de son post sympathique. Le plaisir était partagé, les membres des trois sociétés d’officiers et de militaires ont contribué par leur engagement et leur collaboration au succès de la journée. Merci également au Dr Linda Maduz et à Gazmend Huskaj de leurs excellentes présentations.
Et, en passant, puisque ma soutenance de thèse publique a été mentionnée, l’invitation est valable pour toutes et tous les membres de la société. Merci de votre inscription qui me permettra d’assurer qu’il n’y aura pas que des biscuits militaires et du thé pour l’apéritif.

I have presented « International Geneva » to the members of the Royal College of Defence Studies who are visiting « la cité du bout du Lac ». The participants enjoyed « the mix of entertainment and information ».

Innovative approaches to dialogue amid the « new normal » – What are the challenges for the Diplomatic Dialogue (DD) amid COVID-19? How can tools and new approaches to facilitation benefit DD 2.0 and how can we look beyond the track 1-3 models?
In the context of the 25th anniversary of the GCSP, I contributed to this event.
A programme for Defence Attachés around the world – The Defence Attachés (DA), their network and their associations play an important and significant role in international relations. In the framework of its 25th anniversary, the GCSP wants to strengthen its contribution to peace and stability in the world and will launch a new online service for DAs starting on 27 November 2020.
Trailer of my « Welcome to Switzerland – A virtual learning journey » Training Sequence. I gave it yesterday – Live and virtually – to the participants of the Leadership in Security Course, located between four continents.
This highly interactive leaning journey, including puzzles, quiz, and groupwork, was very successful.
Quels sont les liens entre la diplomatie et le militaire ? Que font des militaires dans les ambassades ? Quelles formes de collaboration avec eux au sein d’une mission ? Ces questions, sous une perspective suisse, forment l’ossature de cette présentation.
