Day 1 of the Swiss Economic Mission to Jakarta 2025 opened with the 11th Indonesia–Switzerland Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETC).
The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties between the two countries, covering topics such as:
– The EFTA–Indonesia CEPA trade agreement
– SECO’s economic cooperation programme in Indonesia
– Swiss contributions to infrastructure, health, and pharmaceuticals
– Halal certification
– Essential raw materialsCo-chairs
were H.E. Daniel Tumpal S. Simanjuntak, Director General for Economic Relations and Development Cooperation at Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, and H.E. Ngurah Swajaya, Ambassador of Indonesia to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.On the Swiss side, H.E. Andrea Rauber Saxer, Ambassador and Head of Bilateral Economic Relations at SECO, and H.E. Olivier ZEHNDER, Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia, led the delegation—joined by around 20 Swiss companies and business associations.
The discussions set a strong tone for deepening collaboration and expanding opportunities between Switzerland and Indonesia.
